Dossier Notary

Well, this week was very, very productive for our adoption process. We received a letter from the Dept of Immigration, officially noting the filing date of our I-1600a form (the precursor to the 171-H & IR-4 Visa which is the single most important document we have to receive), I drafted ALL of our dossier documents, I forwarded documents out to others (physician, SW, etc) to be signed & Notarized, I sent a reminder to our friends/families writing our referral letters to get moving on those, and Gregg & I signed and notarized the Dossier documents that come from us. Wooo-Hooo! I was even so dorky as to take pictures of the paralegal at my office Notarizing our documents.

I have also been journaling a lot, which is really helping me deal with the frustration of waiting and the loss of control over the entire process. I know, when you have a bio baby, you have some loss of control, but not like this. So, I'm focusing my energies on the nursery, painting the outdoor playroom, etc. Gregg & I really need to get started on the basement rehab as well. Otherwise, there is no where to put the nursery furniture, until the existing furniture is moved out!
