Yes folks, you guess it! It's October 1st, which is officially the opening of cookie season in our house (I don't like to bake a lot in the summer.) My friend Stephanie just posted pictures of her pumpkin chip cookies, which is my 2nd favorite. My heart belongs to molasses crinkles first and foremost! Now, molasses crinkles season opens Nov 1st, so in the meantime I can do a lot of oatmeal variations (I like craisin-white chocolate, Gregg likes date-ginger), as well as pumpkin chip cookies and pumpkin bars (more cake-like) w/ cream-cheese frosting. Of course, I'll have to give a lot of these away and/or bring to work because I don't want to put on my "winter weight" this year.
I'll post photos and recipes as the baking begins.

I totally love baking season too! Pumpkin Chocolate Chip are my personal favorite. I have a really good banana cookie and love chocolate crinkles too! Wish I could bake with you!
