And the magic number is...31

No, we are not going to adopt 31 children, or send out 31 holiday cards, or put 31 ornaments on our tree (we don't have a tree.) Rather, 31 is the number of yard waste bags we used this fall for our leaf clean-up (which we finished today.) Incredible! We actually didn't used 31 bags, but we filled the equivalent of 31 bags. 6 entire bags of grass and leaves went into the compost bin, which was then winterized with a final dose of SUPER HOT and water, and a nice thorough stir.

So, the yard and flower beds and rose bushes are all ready for winter. Nice to have it done, even though we are eating lunch at 3:41 pm.
